How it all began...

Welcome to Ciao Bella Wedding Design. This is site  is operated by Lyndsey & Will who were married in Sorrento, Italy  in the summer of 2011.

Following our engagement in Zanzibar we decided straight away that we didn't want to get married in England. We wanted our day to be so special and we didn't think anywhere in England would be able to meet are needs and wants.

After doing our research into potential destinations, Italy and then Sorrento was chosen due to how easy it was to get to for us and our guests, the lack of red tape, and ultimately the beautiful and romantic scenery.

We wanted to plan as much of the day as possible ourselves to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and most of all knew what we were getting. We didnt want to give control of the most important day of our lives to a faceless wedding planner!

We quickly learnt that the amount of control we wanted through up great challenges! But this didn't put us off. We sought out venues, cars, florists, photographers, hairdressers and musicians. We bargained, we haggled, we made friends and contacts. We had a great time visiting Sorrento prior to finalising our decisions to sample menu's, visit hotels and negotiate some more - and with great thanks to a little volcano in Iceland our stay was extended and we sampled some more, made more friends and discovered even more options for our wedding day. It was great!

All this research proved successful, and we had the best day of our lives, all went off without a hitch and it was the most amazing experience. In the words of our Uncle Paulie "I've been to some weddings in my time but this beats the lot".

We worked hard planning our wedding day, gathering information and contacts from all different sources but we enjoyed it. Now that we have all the information we can share this with anyone wishing to be married in Sorrento, we can make your life easier!
